The RLZ from autonox Robotics, due to its special construction with cranked upper arms and a movable cardan joint, offers twice the z-stroke of a standard DELTA robot of the same size, the company explains.
This design is particularly interesting for applications in the packaging industry: the significantly larger z-travel makes the delta robot mechanism suitable for packaging in deep containers.
Robot for nominal payloads of 3 kg
The robot is currently available for nominal loads of 3 kg and with a working range diameter of 1200 mm and four degrees of freedom. The product range will be gradually expanded and a product catalog will be created, similar to the standard RL kinematics, so that the robot will also be available for nominal loads of up to 50 kg and working range diameters of up to 1900 mm. With a repeatability of +-0.1, the robot mechanics position precisely. An extension on the tool carrier ensures that the robot's forearms do not collide with interfering contours.
Parallel kinematics with an extra-large working area
In the future, parallel kinematics can be supplemented by an integrated tool-changing system, an additional tool shaft and an internal media supply.
Delta robots can be operated with all common controllers
Like all of the company's robot arms, the DELTA robot can be operated with all common controllers. This means that the entire automation process can be implemented on just one controller platform. The company's arms are largely maintenance-free. Company-specific design adaptations are possible for all products with Customized Design.
