Autonox presents customised robot kinematics at Automatica
Automationspraxis | May 2025

At Automatica in Hall A4, Stand 329, Autonox will be demonstrating how customised, flexible robotics solutions open up completely new possibilities for machine builders: Autonox's controller-independent robot mechanics enable machine builders to assemble robot systems individually for their application.

Another advantage: as the robot mechanics from Autonox are independent of the control system, the robot and machine merge into a single unit. As there are no control interfaces, the user receives a highly integrated system with a standardised control system that can perform complex tasks.

The Black Forest-based manufacturer will be demonstrating the wide range of possibilities at its trade fair stand.

Selection of available robot mechanisms

The first area shows the selection of available robot mechanisms: From heavy articulated arm robots to ultra-fast delta kinematics - each with different payloads, degrees of freedom and designs, for example for palletising, steel milling or hygienic food processing. This range is also made possible by Autonox's close partnership with leading control and drive technology providers.

Select the right mechanism quickly and easily

In the second area, Autonox presents new digital solutions to make it even easier and quicker for customers to select the right mechanics. One example is the enhanced Autonox Finder, which is easy and intuitive to use. From this e-catalogue, users can select the robot structures, degrees of freedom, payloads, working ranges and options that are right for them. More than 340 different mechanisms are available.

Generic simulation tool

The Autonox Simulator is also celebrating its premiere. This generic simulation tool provides users with initial information on the behaviour of the robot mechanics, for example in pick-and-place processes. They do not need to store any motor data for this. Among other things, users can load their own path plans into the system and calculate them. Another new feature is the Autonox Machine Book, which contains all relevant information on the respective robot mechanics, such as serial number, year of manufacture and information on gearboxes and motors. This gives customers a comprehensive overview of their entire inventory of robot mechanics.

Three live demonstrations

The third area is all about ‘Better robotics in components’. Three live demonstrations will impressively illustrate how control-independent robot mechanics can be successfully integrated into machines. In collaboration with partners from the fields of control technology, gripper and vision technology as well as process technology, Autonox will be presenting pick-and-place, measurement and process applications. In a virtual application, trade fair visitors will experience what it means to be able to intervene in robotics right down to the control level.
